To manage the procurement of components and services for the automotive division including negotiating contracts which result in a cost savings to the company.

·         Negotiates with suppliers to obtain cost effective, long-term contracts that develop a mutual working relationship.

·         Performs reviews of existing suppliers.

·         Identifies and evaluates new sources of supply and technology.

·         Manages the sourcing process of components for production programs that meet the price and quality requirements.

·         Facilitates, negotiates and purchases production parts.

·         Tracks and evaluates market trends and availability for designated procurement commodities.

·         Participates with other departments on program, packaging and equipment issues.

·         Reports minority dollars spent with the customers.

·          

·         Recommends business sourcing opportunities.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.

·         5-8 years experience in sales or purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

·         Strong negotiating, analytical and communication skills required.

·         Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office) required.
