Emerging technology and design for manufacturability (DFM) focused Product Development Engineer opening has been created for to work with medical electronic new product development teams to further leverage catheter technology and capabilities.
The Challenges:
1) You would be responsible for understanding Product Concept Statements and providing catheter technologies to meet the delivery system needs of project teams
2) Ensure that the developing technologies are utilized and that there are processes developed for manufacturability and repeatability for those technologies. With your new knowledge you will also be responsible for the integration of catheter and medical electronics emerging / existing technologies into the current electronic catheter manufacturing capabilities
3) Designing, prototyping, and constructing unique catheter-based delivery systems, standalone catheter products, and related interventional devices
4) Ensuring that design for manufacturing and profitability is explored and is optimized for electronic catheter development projects
Salary: Base will be dependent on your expertise and likely should be in the in the 80’s to approx 100k and the benefits, incentive compensation, stability and relocation package are at the top of the industry.

Qualifications:
While a BS degree and 3+ years of catheter based Medical Device product development experience is required, MOST IMPORTANT is to highlight either on your resume, addendum or cover letter your experience with:
1) Emerging technology and design for manufacturability (DFM) in a medical electronics or catheter product development environment (Note: as electronic medical device experience is highly preferred too, any expereince with this would be advisable to document)
2) Integration of medical device technologies
Preferences:
- Proven ability to identify, initiate and drive projects to completion;
- Experience with Product Concept Statements
- Meeting Medical Quality System requirements;
- Knowledge of and experience with ISO requirements, foreign and domestic regulatory submission procedures, GMP guidelines, medical device design control, R&D development cycles, and scale-up of manufacturing processes
