Search Jobs: Results: Sr. EHS Specialist

·         Leads, coordinates, implements, and supports Process Safety programs across multiple sites and business groups.

·         Provides technical and regulatory expertise to ensure compliance, safe work places, and continuous improvement of Process Safety programs.  Advise site management of compliance concerns.

·         Facilitate the sharing of programs, procedures, tools, and successfully demonstrated practices within the location.  Implement standardized EHS processes within the location.

·         Ensure company’s Process Safety philosophies are implemented correctly during the safety reviews for new processes and process modifications.

·         Provide strategic direction of Process Safety issues pertaining to the EHS sites and businesses.  Coordinate with the Centers Of Excellence on development of processes and initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in Process Safety.

·         Provide primary point of contact for all Process Safety related issues within the location, including the process safety review process, facility siting, and interpretations associated with OSHA\'s Process Safety Management/EPA\'s Chemical Accident Prevention (RMP).

·         Ensure commitments made in project reviews and elsewhere are tracked to completion.  Ensure the appropriate level of EHS expertise is applied to capital project reviews.

·         Lead EHS Community work teams or task forces including acting as site process owner for assigned EHS processes.

·         Support interface with regulatory agencies and third parties, as needed, on compliance and enforcement issues.

·         Lead, coordinate, and implement the required updates to the site Risk Management Plan covering all process units at the location.

Job Requirements: 

 

  Technical BS degree required (Chemistry/Chemical Engineering preferred)

·         5 years working knowledge of Process Safety

·         General working knowledge in other EHS areas including Environmental, Occupational Safety, and Industrial Hygiene

·         Experience in leading Process Hazard Analyses and/or HAZOP\'s Root cause analysis and forensic engineering training

·         8 years or more of demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment (Process Safety or Operations)

·         Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
