Duties:

• Schedule Manufacturing Support Areas - including Press room, shear, paint and other fabrication areas.
• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives evaluating the use of technology to tie the scheduling system to the shop floor.
• Analyzes and plans material requirements by determining the quantity of and date by which materials are needed to ensure optimal inventory levels.
• Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications.
• Prepares and processes requisitions as appropriate.
• Responsible for key metrics:  schedule actualization, inventory levels (in dollars and days of supply/inventory), and obsolescence.
• Provide as a back up role for other production schedulers/material coordinators.

Requirements:

• BS Degree with 3-5 years experience in a lean manufacturing environment, MBA desired. 
• System experience with an MRP system and strong understanding MRP and APS fundamentals.
• MS Excel/Access and Higher Level Programming languages experience.
• APICS/CPIM Supply Chain certification desired.
• Proficient with Excel, macros (in Excel) and SAP 
• Lean/Six Sigma skills and/or training, or experience working in a Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing environment
• Ability to challenge current processes to identify waste and drive improvements.Previous leadership experiece (Supervisor, project team leader, etc.
• Must have worked behind the scene/ back end of system integrations. 
• Must be promotable within two years to managers position.
