FPC of Cincinnati has a growing metals industry client that is seeking a Research & Development Engineer to lead product and process R&D functions for steel making applications for their North America operations. In this role you will report to the R&D Manager and be located in a state of the art R&D facility located in the Midwestern States USA region. This role may have some direct reports under it in the near future. To be successful in this role you will be an advanced degreed materials/metallurgy engineer with 5 plus years of metallurgy experience within steel making melting and continuous casting operations and have a good product and technical knowledge of steel plate, sheet, and strip products. This will be an excellent opportunity to launch your career with this company and be in a highly promotable role for future advancement. Candidate Profile:
- MS Engineering (Materials, Metallurgy, Mechanical)
- 5+ years of metallurgical engineering experience within steel mill melting and continuous casting departments
- Significant product metallurgy experience with flat rolled steel products – plate, sheet, strip, etc
- Skilled in leading materials investigations and materials development processes for steel making applications
- Prior process technology experience for steel making operations is a plus
- Someone with a stable career and no more than 2 job changes the last 5 years
- Someone who is looking for a company that they can work the next 10 plus years of their career
- US Citizen
Compensation:
Targeting the $80K to $110K salary range plus a small bonus and profit sharing
