Search Jobs: Results: Metallurgist - Continuous Casting (102309MCC)
FPC of Cincinnati has a growing steel industry client that is seeking a junior metallurgist for their casting department. This opportunity is located near a metro area within the Great Lakes States region of the USA. In this role you will report to a department technical manager and be involved in process metallurgy to improve casting processes, casting data systems, and slab and scrap quality/data systems. To be successful in this role you will need to be a degreed metallurgist with one to five years of experience within steel mill continuous casting and have a strong computer systems skill set. Our client is offering a competitive compensation and benefits package with some relocation assistance if needed.
Candidate Profile:
- BS Engineering Degree (Materials or Metallurgical)
- 1 to 5 years of metallurgy experience within continuous casting of steel
- Must have excellent computer skills with PC's, Networks, and Databases
- Knowledge of Servers and PLC's preferred
- Prior experience with a slab caster is a plus
- Someone with a great work ethic who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build a long term career with a top caliber metals company
- US Citizen
Compensation:
Targeting the $50K to $70K salary range plus a small annual bonus
