A Fortune 500 Chemical Manufacturer, located in North West NY State, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its Engineering and Construction Team.
TECHNICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Prepares proposals, job plans and manpower estimates for the electrical Engineering/Design effort as required.
- Layout, specifies, quotes and purchases pre-engineered electrical equipment enclosures.
- Layout and defines all Electrically Classified Areas for all plant layouts.
- Reviews and approves complete Underground and Aboveground Electrical installation packages (Power, Control and Grounding) for Bid and Construction using Supplier Drawings, Power One-Line Diagrams and Control Schematics as inputs.
- Generates Underground and Aboveground Electrical Construction Specifications for Bid and Construction.
- Performs electrical calculations as required (short circuit, cable pulling tensions, voltage drop, etc.) to insure NEC compliance of the electrical installation.
- Revises and updates Electrical Standards and Electrical Guidelines as required to maintain NEC compliance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
- 8+ years of industrial/manufacturing experience.
- 8+ years electrical engineering experience in the development of electrical power, control and grounding systems for installation of large industrial process equipment.
- Experience designing complete underground and aboveground electrical packages – layout definition drawings.
