This person will oversee day-to-day manufacturing and production. Key duties include management of personnel, budgets, and quality.

Other responsibilities include:

Ensure all requirements are met for the introduction of new products and for improvements of existing processes and systems.
Work within scheduling constraints, comply with quality and safety requirements and plan material delivery and use.
Manage and respond to customer and scheduling demands to include emergency and special production requirements.
Manage personnel to include the completion of all regulatory (PSM and RMP) and recertification training, and performance and development programs.
Drive quality initiatives in cooperation with engineering department to improve quality, reduce cycle time, and product costs of manufacturing processes.
Plan and communicate budget and resource requirements, provide product costing and efficiency utilizations.
Ensure quality standards are met in operations, participate in and support quality management system, including internal and external audits.
Member of Emergency Response Team.

Requirements:

Must have a BS in Chemical Engineering
Must have at least 8-10 years of Chemical Manufacturing Experience (prefer specialty or pharmaceutical)
Must have at least 5 years of Management Experience
Must be have a strong understanding of SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing
Must have experience with creating and managing budget development
Must have strong organizational and communication skills
Strong computer skills a must. Should be familiar with Microsoft Office, SAP, LIMS, and Lotus Notes.
