Medical Director
Contributes to all phases of clinical studies (medical management and expertise, including feasibility assessments, designing processes/educational efforts, and managing medical information). Serves as Medical Monitor for large-scale global clinical trials, designing protocols and providing expertise and oversight for pharmaceutical/biotech company sponsor contacts and internal study team members.
Job Duties:

A. Consulting – The Medical Director has responsibility to establish and build relationships with current and existing clients, lending medical expertise to consulting assignments with potential sponsors. This consultant relationship can be leveraged to achieve full-service project work for Medpace.
B. Internal Medical Oversight – The Medical Director has responsibility for medical management for clinical trials: contributing medical expertise to study reports, regulatory documents, and manuscripts; medical and safety management of clinical trials and working closely with associates in evaluation and assessment of the trials; assisting in all phases of the studies and trials including feasibility assessments, design processes, educational efforts, management of medical information, and reviewing and editing of medical documents; working closely with other departments in the company and other medical directors as the nature of the trials dictate; and following specific research related protocol and lead others in strict adherence to the policies.
C. Business Development and Bid Defense – In cooperation and coordination with Business Development group, maintain existing customer relationships; identify market trends and opportunities; generate business and project leads; attend exhibitions and conferences representing Medpace to sponsors and potential sponsors; participate in proposal review and project cost/revenue analysis; make presentations during bid defense process. Qualifications: · Licensed, Board-Certified M.D. with outstanding clinical background in neuro-science.
· Ten years in clinical monitoring/research related experience
· Strong networking skill in biopharmaceutical research industry
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Highly-developed leadership skills; experience with global interdisciplinary teams
