Job Summary
Directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibility for production, maintenance, quality and other production related activities.
Functions:
· Achieves optimum staffing while meeting budgetary plans.
· Manages and coordinates metal requirements with corporate to
increase inventory turns while meeting raw material cost budgetary plans.
· Implements strategies to reduce scrap.
· Promotes lean manufacturing processes.
· Achieves standards for product quality, equipment reliability, and operator performance.
· Develops practices to promote continuous improvement.
· Continuously complies with Company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
· Preserves fixed assets.
· Develops, monitors and reports on operating costs within functional areas.
· Advises facility managers and supervisors on labor issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, employee disciplinary matters and the like.
· Ensures managers and supervisors are adhering to company policies and administering effective pro-employee practices.
Job Requirements:
4 year College Degree and or extensive and equivalent experience
6 -10 years operational experience in a lean manufacturing environment
Experience with computers and functional in MS Office programs.
