A highly successful client with plans for more growth wants to hire a Director of Business Development to help achieve growth goals. This person will lead the sales process to acquire new customers and grow the business with existing strategic customers.
Key responsibilities include:
*Build and continually refine optimal go-to-market and sales plans
*Build relationships with key stakeholders at existing customers, focusing on broadening/expanding customer use of services;
*Utilization of an objective screening process that allows for appropriate prioritization and screening of prospecting opportunities;
*Identifying and engaging appropriate new prospects for services;
*Leading cross-functional teams throughout all sales stages with prospective customers;
*Establishing cross-functional relationships with relevant associates to facilitate sales and implementations;
*Track and forecast new business activities
*Lead internal New Business teams
*Learn fundamental services and become proficient in the implementation and execution of these services to new and existing customers.
What must the successful candidate have?
*Bachelor’s degree in business or related field of study, MBA preferred.
*8-12 years of business/industry experience including at least 5 years of business development experience in the service/outsourcing business sector.
*Sales professional who has experience in consumer product packaging industry
*Proven sales skills (needs assessment, client relationship management, negotiations, proposal development, closing),

*Superior communications skills
*Self-motivated/self starter
*Customer focus/orientation
*Organizational agility, decision making, results-driven, influencer
*Ability to travel 25-40% of the time.
