Our client is a leading multinational developer, manufacturer and marketer of innovative, life-enhancing medical technologies in the fields of vascular, urology, oncology and surgical specialty products, employing over 11,000 people in over 25 countries around the world. They are searching for a top notch Senior Financial Analyst who has the drive to succeed and wants to take their career to the next level.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing a senior role in the preparation of accurate and timely financial information for use by management in key business decision-making. This position is heavily involved in the development of new and improved processes. This position may supervise clerical positions within the Finance department. This position is also responsible for preparing financial analysis for the controller, general accounting manager and cost manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting plus four years experience with exposure to automated general ledger systems or equivalency. MBA, CPA or CMA preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of sound accounting skills and internal control procedures, particularly in a manufacturing environment. This position also requires demonstrated human relation, communication skills and organization ability.
The incumbent must be willing to relocate within the company as opportunities arise.
The incumbent must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the duties and responsibilities.
Training Requirements:
Training requirements are maintained in the Training Needs by Job Description Matrix located in the appropriate department. The controlled master copy is located in the Human Resources Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive. The omission of a specific duty or responsibility will not preclude it from the position.
1. Responsible for accurately reporting international entities P&L’s and prepare/consolidate monthly financial statements
2. Heavily involved in implementing new processes and improvement of current processes
3. Completes year-end closing by coordinating and preparing the annual report, 10-K package and tax packages. Prepares audit schedules and analysis. Cooperates with internal and external auditors in review and audit engagements.
4. Performs special financial analysis projects for the controller, general accounting manager and cost manager as needed.
5. May supervise clerical positions with the Finance department.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
1. Experience in preparing financial analysis.
2. Excellent communication skills and organization ability.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of sound accounting skills and internal control procedures, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
4. Proficiency in the use of Excel, Word and Access.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the Manager of General Accounting who in turn reports to the V.P. and Controller.
