FPC of New York City is a leading executive search firm that specializes in finance, accounting and Sales.  We are a subsidiary of FPC National which was founded in 1959 and has over 70 offices around the country.

Our client is is a leading provider of consumer, business-to-business, and industrial digital imaging solutions.  They are searching for a top notch Director, Federal Government Sales.

Responsibilities

The Director of Federal Government Sales is responsible for leading the Federal Government sales organization consisting of Federal Account Executives and Field Sales Government Marketing Specialists. The Sales Director has functional responsibility for sales operations, revenue generation, budget and quota attainment, program development & implementation, and expense management and control. The Sales Director is responsible for strategic and tactical planning along with functional productivity and operational efficiency of this growing business development organization. The successful candidate will mentor and coach the Federal Sales team modeling a successful government sales approach and drive significant growth in our federal business.  

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have 10 plus years of experience in Federal Government Sales and exemplary leadership skills. Demonstrated strategic leadership and the ability to direct and grow future business is essential. Specifically a track record of building brand new business relationships and opening new large accounts in the federal space is strongly preferred.  All applicants will have a minimum of 5 years senior management experience in the Office Imaging industry or a closely related field (technology preferred). This must have included direct oversight of a quota-based team and ideally government marketing professionals. A Bachelors degree in business or closely related discipline is preferred, a graduate degree is strongly preferred.    In addition, strong communication skills, fairness, mutual respect and integrity are characteristics necessary for this role.
