The Candidate will lead the project of productionizing this Lithium Battery intended for automotive battery - Hybrid (EV and HEV applications) and other special applications of lithium battery (generally used as battery packs).
Not looking for battery pack engineering expertise - looking for someone that can Provide technical - cell level, module level, chemistry and material level guidance and support in developing the lithium ion modules. Working closely with Research and Development group to ensure that the High Volume Battery has the same performance as the battery developed in prototype and pilot environment. So thorough knowledge of scaling up lithium batteries for production is a fundamental requirement for this role. Establish and Manage technical teams to support continued company growth and to allocate resources as needed to achieve business goals.

Job Requirements
Director of Engineering Lithium
- PhD Required in Chemistry [or Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field required]
- Experience in development of multiple cell battery solutions - Pilot to Production - Lithium Battery
- Demonstrated experience in Product Validation and Quality systems;
- Experience in manufacturing processes for Lithium battery modules - Li-Ion preferred
- Experience in leading, managing and innovation of Automotive Batteries.
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Expertise Managing Programs, Intellectual Property, Product Validation, Development, Test etc.
- Established 10 yrs or more leadership skills in the role of Chief Scientist or
