HOT HOT HOT ROLE - An exciting opportunity for a strong Environmental Health and Safety  PROJECT MANAGER to join a leading building supply manufacturing company.  Ideally this EHS PROJECT MANANGER will base out Texas, within commuting distance of the company’s plants in Dallas TX area, and be on the road to all the other facilities around the country at least three weeks out of the month.  This role may also live close to one of the company's other plants around the country. This EHS PROJECT MANAGER will be part an integral part of the EHS Corporate Management team and be responsible for the cultural and procedural change throughout the entire EHS network of this company and assure uniform installation and compliance with EHS Management Systems over the full network of facilities.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE EHS DISCIPLINE.  MUST HAVE EXAMPLES OF SAFETY RELATED PROJECTS FROM INCEPTION THROUGH COMPLETION.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EHS PROJECT MANAGER include:

·       Ensure communication between corporate and plant EHS concerning roll out of initiatives and follow through on successful implementation including development and installation of EHS Management Systems

·       Work closely with plant leadership throughout the network to assess and define current and future GAPS or particular Business Needs with relation to EHS

·       Test programs and initiatives throughout the system and assure programs are running as intended

·       Develop and deliver detailed action plans for roll outs and other initiatives

·       Perform analysis on programs and policies and assess associated risks to ensure to assure selection of best choices

·       Work with Key Stakeholders, including HES, production and sales and engineering,  to define parameters and desired outcomes

·       Assure consistency with company best practices

·       Work with various stakeholders to get buy-in on projects and practices

·       Full Project Management  responsibilities IN THE EHS FIELD

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE EHS PROJECT MANAGER include:

 

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field

·       5+ years of EHS experience in PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT

·       Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Principles

·       Advanced computer skills

·       Attention to detail

·       Strong communication skills; presentation, written and leadership

·       MUST BE ABLE TO MULTI-TASK EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY

 

·       MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN CROSS FUNCTIONAL TEAMS
