HOT HOT HOT - an exciting opportunity for a strong Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join a leading building supply manufacturing company as the EHS Manager for their 100 person manufacturing facility located near San Bernadino, CA.  This EHS Manager will be part of the Plant Leadership team and will be instrumental in the continued growth and success of this business.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EHS MANAGER include:

·       Develop, manage and facilitate the plant Safety Program; including Behavioral Based Programs

·       Coach managers and develop training plans to assure employees continual engagement in the safety process

·       Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local environmental and safety regulations

·       Develop strategies for continued safety awareness and implement programs

·       Provide continual feedback to plant leadership on safety initiatives and performance; develop KPIs and provide reports and feedback to corporate

·       Investigate incidents, identify potential problems before they become incidents, and supply remedial actions when necessary

·       Conduct plant audits

·       Manage team and supervisors an on-going basis

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE EHS MANAGER include:

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field

·       5+ years of EHS experience in a MANUFACTURING OR HEAVY INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT in a leadership role

·       Must have experience in managing employee relations as it relates to EHS, incident investigation and training

·       Must be able to develop training programs and facilitate training throughout the facility

·       Must have a thorough understanding of federal and state regulatory requirement, (EPA and OSHA) and have the ability to communicate those regulations comprehensively to the appropriate work force

·       Experience Leading and Mentoring in a manufacturing environment

·       Must be a STRONG leader with a collaborative nature and can do attitude
