Our client, is looking for a senior financial analyst to support the manager of benefits, finance and accounting for a manufacturing company in Milwaukee with preparing the benefit plan, auditing financial statements, oversight of the 5500 filings, and the analyst will respond to both internal and external audit questions and issues. They will help prepare financial statement retirement footnotes for the 10Q and 10K filings, which may require some SEC and FASB research. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations for retirement and health care accounts along with ensuring trust assets are accurately stated.

Principle Duties/Expectations:

• Preparation of complex reconciliation and analysis for management to effectively manage costs. This position frequently interacts with external consultants, internal peers and management.
• Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Demonstrate good judgment in decision making.
• Works independently with minimal instruction on day-to-day work, instructions given on new assignments.

 Requirements:

• 3+ years experience with financial reporting and analysis
• Solid accounting background with the ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative and effective ways
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Degree in Accounting or Equivalent
