Our client a 1.5B manufacturing company has a newly created Corporate Accountant position and is looking for an experience accountant with 5-7 years experience. In this role the cost accountant will support the general managers and division controllers and other executive professionals by leading the financial and cost management process globally at multiple sites.
 

The candidate must have strong leadership and analytical skills. As the lead cost accountant they will be responsible for maintaining and improving the cost systems and for making recommendations that will impact and improve the company’s financial performance.

The cost accountant must have a solid understanding of cost accounting preferably within a technical or electronic manufacturing environment, and should be familiar with Standard to Actual Costing, and have thorough knowledge of inventory, cost of goods sold, and gross margins.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain and improve the cost accounting processes and systems, including assistance with the ERP implementation
• Monitor and establish corporate processes to ensure inventory consistency and accuracy
• Develop and improve tools for managing operational goals
• Compile global cost data for use in analyzing profitability and making strategy decisions
• Provide divisional training on and monitor compliance to cost processes
   

Requirements: 

1. 6-8 years experience including Standard to Actual Costing, and have thorough knowledge of inventory, cost of goods sold, and gross margins.
2. Strong leadership and communication skills
3. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
