FPC Raleigh has been engaged to locate a new Plant Manager for a company with a reputation for high quality manufacturing talent, excellent productivity systems and profitability growth. Their business systems are often the benchmark used to gauge success. This is a talent pipeline development role that is open through promotion. The level of career development activities, mentorship, and peer-to-peer challenge is excellent.

The Plant Manager role is a great opportunity for a strong candidate who is looking for entry into multiple location responsibility. The person in this role will be responsible for over 200 people. This is high volume, high mix environment with an extremely fast moving culture.

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering, such as BSME, BSIE or perhaps BSEE with significant mechanical product experience

• 5+ years experience in manufacturing management, 2+ years in production leadership

• Experience in a high volume, high mix metal forming and/or assembly environment

• Lean experience (Kanban, SMED, value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, etc)

• Track record of driving improvement with quantified results

• Growth-oriented employment history

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSME

• Experience with machining

• Cross functional career history with prior roles in materials, engineering, quality, etc

• MBA

• Site leadership experience

• Six Sigma experience (DMAIC, DMADV, DFSS)
