SUMMARY:
Responsible for analysis and reporting for the US Divisional business. Works closely with the management team to drive revenue and profitability growth. Identifies significant opportunities and helps build action plans with measurable targets. Key contributor in developing business tactics and targeting strategies.
1. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists business partners through financial modeling to reflect opportunities under consideration, including applicable business models and strategies.
Participates in projects and cross-functional project teams focused on improving business unit financial performance.
Participates in and helps develop the five-year business unit strategy. Develops robust financial modeling to capture and appropriately reflect the financial implications of the various initiatives.
Develops, reviews, and maintains meaningful operational dashboards, metrics, and scorecards to ensure business operations are in alignment with corporate strategy.
Develops a strong understanding of the division's revenue and associated drivers, and identifies opportunities to improve revenue realization.
Provides management with insightful observations and suggestions for improvement.
Ensures that all outputs are accurate, consistent and reflect current business processes.
2. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field.
Minimum of five years of work experience in a mid to large corporate environment to include financial analysis and modeling.
Thorough understanding of financial and accounting concepts required.
Meaningful experience with Business Objects or another enterprise-level data mining tool.
Ability to build key relationships with team members across the organization and develop an informal network of internal consultants.
Possess strong analytical, project management and leadership skills.
Ability to deal effectively with all employees, including Executive Management, while conveying a positive service-oriented attitude.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
Must be able to provide management with clear, concise summaries of analyses and actionable insights.
Ability to multi-task and appropriately prioritize work, while maintaining attention to detail is critical.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
3. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA and/or CPA preferred
Sales reporting experience
MS Access or other comparable RDMS experience
4. REPORTING STRUCTURE:
This position reports to the US Divisional Finance Manager with strong dotted lines to the Sales, Sales Operations, and Marketing organizations.
