Our client, a Louisiana based global producer of thermoset elastomeric compounds, has an opening in their R&D center for a PhD Material Scientist. Experience with neoprene, epdm, sbr, hnbr or other elastomer products is a requirement. An excellent background in the development of property-structure relationships and understanding of post-polymerization processes like extrusion is important. Strong customer relationship skills are required and a background in the development of innovative compounds that have gained commercial success is a necessity. A PhD in Polymer Chemistry (or similar) with a career focus on elastomeric compounds is desired. This is a very high profile position.
