We are seeking an experienced Computer Hardware Specialist for our operations in Sacramento, CA area

Main Responsibilities include but not limited to:

 Provide computer hardware repair and support of IBM Mainframe; high end/mid range IBM Servers (pSeries, xSeries, iSeries, zSeries).
 12+ years experience in IBM computer hardware repair; installation and planning
 Large IBM tape library repair and maintenance is also required.
 IBM Experience/training is required and Server+ Certification is a plus; other certifications desired.
 24 X 7 support required.
 Facilitating timely on-site computer hardware repairs
 Troubleshooting
 Diagnostics/analysis
 Escalation management
 Site parts planning.

Other tasks include:
 Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan layout, including type of computers and peripheral equipment modifications.
 Evaluate factors such as reporting formats required, cost constraints, and need for security restrictions to determine hardware configuration.
 Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
 Test and verify hardware and support peripherals to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements, analyzing and recording test data.
 Write detailed functional specifications that document the hardware development process and support hardware introduction.
 Update knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid advancements in computer technology.

Minimum skills & requirements:
 7+  to 10 Years Relevant Work Experience
 Self motivated
 Organizational & planning skills are essential
 Communication skills (oral and written)
 Leadership skills
 Reliable transportation is required.
