Electronic Hardware Engineer
My client who is a leader in the automotive industry supplying components and systems has an immediate requirement for a hardware engineer in power electronics for hybrid vehicle power applications.
Job Responsibility
· Design electrical vehicle supply equipment per SAE J1772 and other customer requirements
· Develop power electronic charging standards with IEC and SAE committees
· Develop technical specifications and incorporate in the design
· Develop schematics for the design.
· Develop and implement user safety monitoring and control algorithms
· Create and monitor milestone charts and provide stage gate reviews
Job Requirements
· Excellent ability to organize and plan
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Strong knowledge of power electronics
· Works effectively with cross functional teams
· Automotive industry experience a plus
· Hands on design experience in the area of power supplies
· Familiar with UL certification process
Education
· BS degree in Electrical Engineering
· MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering preferred
· Minimum 3 years experience in hybrid power electronics
