GLOBAL CHEMICAL COMPANY HAS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR ANENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY ENGINEER / ANALYST

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support the development and implementation of an environmental sustainability management program within the Business Unit through the research analysis of existing operations and processes as well as the evaluation of product life cycles.
· Provide a sustainability perspective on existing internal economic analysis, product cost analysis, performance assessment, and benchmarking to support the integration of sustainability into the Business Units financial and operational management.
· Conduct facility tours as directed to review, audit, analyze, and where necessary calculate the location’s environmental footprint. Compile collected quantitative and qualitative data to determine the aggregate environmental footprint for review by Sr. Management and establishment of sustainability objectives.
· Conduct complex product life cycle analyses regarding carbon impacts, energy impacts, water impacts, waste impacts, etc and develop actionable conclusions and recommendations.
· Develop comprehensive business objective bases on results of environmental assessments and analyses for subsequent review by the management team
· Recommend program technologies that maximize environmental protection, resource conservation and minimize environmental liability.
· Serve as a technical resource to operational stakeholders for carbon accounting, mitigation strategies and goals. Review, research and response to request from both internal and external customers regarding the Companies Sustainability impact program and processes.
· Understand how emerging legislation and requirements may impact existing and potential products and operations and assist in developing strategies to manage those
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related field with emphasis on sustainability.
· Minimum of3 years experience working in a manufacturing environment
· Experience with Statistical process Control (SPC) and Quality System implementation and maintenance.
