FPC of Cincinnati is conducting a confidential search for a plate mill division manager for a metals industry leader. This opportunity is coming open due to an upcoming promotion within the organization. In this role you will report directly to the senior executive in charge of this business group and manage a department of 120+ personnel with a number of direct management reports including operations, maintenance, and technical department heads. To be successful in this role you will need to be a degreed engineer with a good plate mill technical background combined with 10+ years of supervisory and management experience within metals mills including significant plate mill or flat products rolling mill management experience. You will need to have good accomplishments in turning around under performing maintenance and/or operations departments within metals mills and have proven continuous improvement leadership experience. You will also need to have successful management experience within unionized manufacturing plants for this is a staunch unionized facility. According to the hiring executive there is a lot of low hanging fruit available for the right continuous improvement minded manager to go after in this division. This client has many senior level retirements coming down the road so this person will have advancement opportunities in years to come. - Do you have significant management experience within unionized manufacturing plants? If so, give more details.

- What accomplishments do you have in turning around under performing maintenance and operations departments within metals mills and what tools did you use?
